Use tabs

The tab bar is shown at the top a Terminal window that has multiple tabs open (it looks like a row of buttons). Click on a tab to switch to it. You can open multiple tabs to manage your work in Terminal. This will allow you to multi-task with activities such as running programs, browsing directories and editing text files in a single Terminal window.

Välilehden avaaminen

Nykyiseen Pääteikkunaan voi avata uuden ikkunan seuraavasti:

  1. Press Shift+Ctrl+T.

Välilehden sulkeminen

Pääteikkunan välilehden voi sulkea seuraavasti:

  1. Press Shift+Ctrl+W.

Alternatively, you can click on the × in the top right corner of the tab or right click on the tab and select Close Terminal.

Välilehtien uudelleenjärjestäminen

Ikkunan välilehtien järjestystä voi muuttaa seuraavasti:

  1. Napsauta ja pidä hiiren vasen painike pohjassa välilehden päällä.

  2. Raahaa välilehti haluttuun kohtaan välilehtipalkissa.

  3. Vapauta hiiren painike.

Välilehti sijoitetaan hiiren painikkeen vapautuskohtaa lähinnä olevan välilehden viereen.

Alternatively, you can reorder a tab by right clicking on a tab and selecting Move Terminal Left to move the tab to the left or Move Terminal Right to move the tab to the right. This will reorder the tab position by moving it one place at a time.
