Removable Drive

To configure a backup on a removable drive follow these steps.

  1. Insert the removable drive

  2. Ensure the drive is visible and accessible via GNOME Files.

  3. Izberite gumb Nastavi varnostno kopiranje

  4. In the Create new Repository section, choose the drive or Location on Disk

  5. Ensure the Repository Base Folder has your removable drive selected. If not, press the Select Folder… button

  6. The new backup repository will be created in a folder with the specified Repository Name.

  7. Press Continue

  8. Choose the desired encryption settings

  9. Pritisnite gumb Ustvari

  10. Configure the Files to Back Up and Exclude from Backup sections

  11. Pritisnite gumb Varnostno kopiraj zdaj

A common problem with removable drives are missing file system permissions to create files and folders. Make sure the drive is configured in a way that Pika Backup can write to it.
