Värimallit

Jos Päätteen oletusvärimalli ei miellytä, tekstin ja taustan värejä voi muuttaa. Voit käyttää teemasi oletusvärejä, valita yhden oletusvaihtoehdoista tai luoda oman värimallin.

Järjestelmäteeman värien käyttäminen

Järjestelmäteeman värien käyttäminen onnistuu seuraavasti:

  1. Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

  2. In the sidebar, select your current profile in the Profiles section.

  3. Select Colors.

  4. Valitse Käytä järjestelmäteeman värejä -valintaruutu. Muutokset otetaan käyttöön välittömästi.

Sisäänrakennetut värimallit

You can choose one of the built-in color schemes: Black on light yellow, Black on white, Gray on black, GNOME light, GNOME dark, Green on black, White on black, Tango light, Tango dark, Solarized light, Solarized dark. To set any of the built-in schemes:

  1. Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

  2. In the sidebar, select your current profile in the Profiles section.

  3. Select Colors.

  4. Varmista, ettei Käytä järjestelmäteeman värejä -valintaruudussa ole valintaa ja valitse haluttu värimalli Sisäänrakennetut mallit -luettelosta. Värimuutokset tulevat käyttöön välittömästi.

    Ohjelmat voivat valita, käyttävätkö ne paletin värejä valitun lihavoidun värin sijasta.

Mukautettu värimalli

  5. Click on the color you would like to change.

  6. Valitse haluttu väri värikokoelmasta ja napsauta Valitse.

    You can choose the desired color in the following ways:

    • Anna värin heksadesimaalikoodi syötekenttään.

    • Raahaa vasemmassa reunassa olevaa vierityspalkkia ja napsauta haluttua väriä värinvalinta-alueelta.

    Muutokset tallennetaan automaattisesti.

Kun käytössä on sisäänrakennettu värimalli, eri osien värejä voi muuttaa edellä mainitulla tavalla. Kun uusi väri valitaan, värimalli muuttuu automaattisesti Mukautetuksi.

Traditionally terminal emulators offered a 16 color palette, this is what you can alter here. Terminal supports an extended set of 256 colors, but the additional 240 colors cannot be edited here.

Terminal even offers direct access to over 16 million colors, this is called “true color” mode.

If the changes you make to the palette do not seem to have an effect, presumably the contents you see consist of such extended palette colors or true colors, rather than the 16 base colors.

Bright colors for bold text

Traditionally terminals didn't clearly separate bold font weight from intense colors, often both of them were enabled together. Recent improvements, such as the introduction of true color support, and certain color schemes (e.g. Solarized) made it desirable to separate the two concepts, that is, make the brightness independent from the font weight.

In order to choose your preferred behavior:

  1. Press the menu button in the top-right corner of the window and select Preferences.

  2. In the sidebar, select your current profile in the Profiles section.

  3. Select Colors.

  4. Disable Show bold text in bright colors for the new default behavior, the complete separation of color intensity and font weight; or enable this option for improved backward compatibility.
