If you have received a key file by email, you might want to import it into Passwords and Keys. In most cases, Passwords and Keys automatically imports SSH keys from the ~/.ssh directory on your computer. You can also manually import keys into Passwords and Keys.
Select File ▸ Import….
In the new dialog, select the key you wish to import. Public SSH keys end with .pub.
Click Open.
Imported keys are automatically grouped according to their type. So, SSH keys are listed in the OpenSSH keys section.
