Set the display name for your computer

You can change the name your computer uses to display itself to other computers or devices, on the network or over Bluetooth.

Change the display name of your computer:

  1. Open the Activities overview and start typing Sharing.

  2. Click on Sharing to open the panel.

  3. Edit the text below Computer Name to change the name your computer displays on the network.
